please help us be able to provide a better life for our sons

My name is Shawn and I have made a few mistakes in life and have paid dearly for them. I am the father of three sons Andrew 12 ,Shawn 7 , and Sterling 6 . I love my family more then any word could ever say . I have chased many pipe dreams in this life all of which have left us destitude . I have drive and ambition as shown through my endevors in the U.S. Army as a fire support specialist and my rise through the ranks of Freemasonry and other groups of such nature .
Ihave sufferd a great deal in my life . This has come at the hands of those who where supposed to love me as well as my own . I was removed from my mothers care at the age of 14 and subsequintly placed in the coustidy of my grand mother who on my 18th birthday packed all of my clothse while I was at work which lead to me being homeless for the first time .
later in life when I was 20 I got my girlfriend preagnant with Andrew . Having no true direction in life I decided to join the Army . We where young and she did not really want to settle down which lead to her getting preagnant by another man while i was on a training excercize . She left and took everything . I later found her and left on leave to go home and try to reclaim my family . Well it turns out that her new boyfriend was a cop who managed to get a domestic violence charge put on me . Keep in mind I did not put a hand on her but this law is so greay that i got this charge because being trained by the military all she had to say was that I threatend her and her boyfriend "the cop" . I quickly accepted the plea as I was on leave from the Army and didnot want an A.W.O.L. charge ,part of the plea was time searved.
Their is alot more to this story but will go into greater detail if you want via e mail mr.bartley405@yahoo.com
Please help me I have very little and cannot secure any kind of employment as I live in a small town and dont even have enough money to travel to find it . I want to go to school and get a degree in the enviromental friendly side of construction . I did make it through 4 years of an electrical apprenticeship through the I.B.E.W. but after not even getting a ticket in 6 years I got another domestic violence and this one was a felony and I endedup doing a year in prison thus leading to me getting kicked out of the union. Now keep in mind I did accidently hit , she was angry because we had just lost everything in a house fire and she was going through alot with her father dieng from cancer. She did not know how to deal with all of this so she lashed out. Please help us

About Rina.

I do not want to bore anyone with dramatic details of my situation. Instead, I will be as simple and as honest as possible. I am 31 and a single mother. My daughter is 8 years old. Her dad has not payed support since she was 3. I have gone back to school twice since then, once for my associate degree in science, and now for my BSN. I have ONE semester left. Two classes! That is all. However, I have used the maximum allowance for my student loans, and my grants do not amount to much since I also work every minute that I can. This makes my income go up, which makes my eligibility go down. I have applied to every scholarship possible, online and in the community. I have no family able to help me, and I have no credit left to use.  It seems that there are scholarships for everything, except for me. I see scholarships for every race, culture, disability, etc. How about a middle class, single, caucasian woman who has worked everyday of her life to provide for her only child? Why is that too much to ask?

   Hello people,

I am really hurting right now, I am a senior in college and my car recently blew a head gasket. I took it to the dealer with the hopes of them helping me out financially with the payments. My car is an 06 with moderate mileage so I figured it was more a manufacture issue with my car, since it is fairly new. The car is now fixed and I don't have all the money I need to get my car back. I graduate next week and I need my car to drive back south 400 miles. If I dont pay within a week they'll take my car which i work so hard to keep. The mecanic says i should get another 100,00 miles from this fixing. But, I'm a girl maybe he was just saying that to get me happy.I still owe money on the car loan but i do all I can to get by to pay my bills. I have 0 that was designated for my cap and gown and senior photos, but I gave it all up and chose not to walk across the stage and just have my diploma mailed to me over the summer. It costs ,023 to get my car out of the shop. Someone please help me or lead me the way out of my situation.

Going back to school?

Hey everyone, I've seen a lot of single parents on here looking to go back to school. I am in the process of doing the same thing and I have learned about a LOT of resources! These are for anyone in any state too!

#1. www.FAFSA.gov

make sure you type .gov not .com, or they will try to charge you to help you fill it out. This is the website that you go to to apply for federal grants (money you don't have to pay back). You need your taxes, social security number... all that business, but if you need money for school, it will be worth the hassle.

#2. www.Scholarshipzone.com

You register with them, fill out a profile, and they will give you a list of scholarships you qualify for as well as some other sites that do scholarships. They are also running a $10,000 scholarship giveaway till March 1st.

#3. search google or msn for scholarships, you never know what's out there till you look!

Good luck in acheiving your goals of higher education and financial freedom, just remember: A little determination can go a long way!

If you are looking for money to help with education, rent, home loans, anything check out these sites they are free and goes directly to the source. The key to finding ligit site they should end in GOV in their addy.

Classes begin September 23, 2009 at the University of Cincinnati.  I should be beginning my Senior year.  Working on my Bachelors Degree in Business Information Systems.  Unfortunately I don't know if this dream is going to be recognized.

I began my college career as a Biology major.  Almost 2 years into my degree I realized I didn't know what I was working towards so I dropped out.  After taking time to figure out what I wanted, I decided it was time to return to school.  I returned to school as a Business  Information Systems major. Since I was previously a Biology major I had plenty of Science classes but unfortunatly they did not apply to an IS degree.  So I basically started over.  But the school doesn't see it this way.  They only allow you so many credit hours to complete your Bachelors degree, so they count ALL of the classes I have had, not just those since I changed majors.  So what does all this mean?  I applied for the FASFA and the information was sent to the school, the school has the option to award me financial aid and they have decided not to.

This comes as a horrible surprise.  Now I have a little over a month to find $3500 to attend classes this quarter.  I am hoping that someone can help.  Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Hi

My prayer request is for a financial blessing. God has been answering my prayers giving me guidance to pursue my educational goals in Nursing. I prayed and God blessed me to complete my required prerequisites with excellent scores and the entrance requirements. I received my acceptance letter into the Nursing program. The cost is $11,500 for the full program plus extra expenses for books and whatever other material and requirements are needed. I am asking for donations if anyone finds it upon their hearts to do so. Even if it is $1 and up. Every little bit helps. I know God will make a way, and he has brought me this far. Because he said If we take 1 step, He will take 2. He said ask and it shall be given to you, Seek and ye shall find, Knock..and the doors shall be open unto you. I am asking, seeking, and knocking. I pray that he will bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Thank you.

I know this is a crazy time in our country, but I find myself in a scary financial spot. A year ago, while visiting family in Denver, CO I was brutally assaulted and hospitalized. This could have been destructive to my life, but I turned it into a positive and returned to school full time to finish my education in social services. I am a single parent, and my son's father has chosen not to participate in any way. I have two years to go to complete my schooling and I don't want to fail because of finances. ANY help is greatly appreciated!

~ Need help ~ Fulltime mom and caregiver for grandparents.

I lost everything due to the my ex-husbands involement of Meth. He hide it well. By time I found out about what he was doing, it was too late. I left him and move myself and my girls to another town and to live with and take care of my grandparents. This has been a blessing. I am home full time for them and for my children. However, I would like to be able to go back to school, afford to pay for my childrens needs. I have sold "The world's Finest Chocolate" and made $450.00. I did this by going door to door and at the enterance of our local Walmart store. This will pay for my first class. I am studing Eagala. I also work everyother weekend at a ranch that does a trade for me. I work for free and they allow my daughters to take riding lessons.

Because I live with and take care of my grandmother, I do not have rent or utilities. However, with my grandmothers advancing  Alzheimer's and Dementia, I am running out of time for a stable place to live. My family is talking about moving her to a nursing home. This will cause myself and my daughter to be homeless in a short time. There is a 2 year waiting list for Section 8 apartments.
I am just looking for a little help, donations of what ever is available. My daughters are 7 and 16. They could use clothes, toys, money towards other sports (swimming, gymnastics, ect). We have a roof over our head, food on the table. I just don't have enough to give them a little more. I would love some help financial assistance so that I can attend additional classes. The only way I can help to provide more for my children is to go back to school.

I am a single parent to a wonderful 3 year old son. I am trying to finish my degree so that I can get  "real" job to better support my small family. I am about $5000 short this semester for school/rent/utilities etc. Because of my school schedule (and my son) I only work about $20 hrs/week at $9/hr. Not a lot, I know. I am barely scraping by, but if I don't get some kind of assistance soon I'll be evicted. I have tried getting more funds for school, loans etc but am at my limit for this school year. Please, any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello to all, I need help and I need an angel (s). I am an African-american woman trying not go out on the streets and beg for money. I'm learning to love and heal myself. I won't reflect on the past so no more sob story. Today is a new day which means a new opporturnity for me to get this right. I don't want to be part of the problem but part of the solution. I'm not on drugs, I'm not pregnant, I'm not homeless (yet),  AND I want to go to school to study Nutrition. I live in Virginia and the program I want to participate in is in New York City. I need to move from Virginia to New York, (willing to rent a room though perfer to rent small apartment). I need to 10K for tuition for program that starts in January 09. ..I look around and see so many of my people terribly overweight, unhealthy and suffering from so many ailments. I truly believe good nutritiion and knowledge of benefits is part of the solution, not temporary pills that only enhance problem and increase dependency. Of course this doesn't just apply to the African-American community but it breaks my heart seeing so many that either have giving up without trying to do better, or just don't know how to do better. ...Unforturnately, I'm in debt for a student loan for a degree that hasn't paid for itself. I pay on it everymonth with not end near. I can it paid off though. That's part of my healing myself vision. The program I want to participate in isn't with a 2/4 year college. It is an Institute so my search for schlarship/grant money has been difficult as that is where most funding is given. So dear angel of this abundant universal love, I thank you now for your guidance and support.
